Educational Programs for PHASE Members

PHASE 40-Hour Basic Occupational Health & Safety Program

This is a five (5) plus half (1/2) day comprehensive program which main objective is to equip participants with basic knowledge in Occupational Health & Safety.  Target participants are individuals who are aspiring to become safety practitioners or who want to have a foundation of a sensible knowledge and information in Health and Safety as well as those who are already in practice of health safety but are eager to enhance their knowledge from highly qualified and certified instructors. The information delivered is a combined local- and international-adhered health and safety standards.

Upon finishing the course, the participant receives a certificate duly signed by the Philippine Consular office as proof of authenticity of the program and the organization.

             •   Job Hazard/Safety Analysis

All of the above subjects were carefully reviewed by practicing safety professionals from various fields to ensure that it is at par if not above the best international standards, and delivered by internationally experienced instructors.

Organizing Health and Safety in the Workplace

This one (1) day program, as the next step after the 40-hour Basic Occupational Health and Safety Course, will provide participants with the knowledge and skills on how to organizing or set up health and safety at the workplace from the start to end of work and beyond. They will be taught on subjects relating to hygiene and welfare, emergency preparedness, leading the workers safely, enhancing knowledge and practical application of hazard identification and control in order to minimize risk, if not to eradicate hazards, and getting prepared to taking health and safety responsibility as a health and safety practitioner.

Safety Instructors Training Program

This sixteen (16) hour program is designed for those who have started conducting tool box talks/safety lectures but have not gone through formal training as a public speaker. The program will further enhance skills in delivering information in a well-structured and professional manner including: voice projection, diction and tone, preparing lecture materials, handling a difficult audience, structuring practical skills training and projecting a professional speakers image.
This tested program had been delivered and had produced instructors who were once reluctant and skeptical about their skills and knowledge in public speaking and is conducted by a world-class and certified instructor with a wide experience in lecturing, organizing training programs and well-experienced in public speaking.

Industrial Hygiene for Non-Hygienists

An eight (8) hour program that tackles subject traditionally taught to those working as hygienist. This program delivers straight forward information that will equip the participants with information and instruction on how to handle issues relating to hygiene in the industry such as noise, hazardous materials, workplace illumination, and personal hygiene that may adversely impact productivity at work. Instructors with combined experience in various industries and are highly qualified ensures that participants in this program will further enhance their health and safety practice through this added information.

Continuing Safety Education Program

A one- (1)  to one-and-a-half (1.5)  hour educational session provided as part of the Monthly General Membership Meeting conducted every 1st Friday of the Month.  Topics include various specialized topic in safety, health, environment and quality that are not normally included in the curricular agenda of the organization. This also serves as mandatory pre-requisite for renewal and maintaining active membership status with the Association.
